Performance Tech Motorsports Set Sights on the Tirerack.com Battle On The Bricks with Alexander Koreiba and Connor Bloum

Performance Tech Motorsports is excitedly heading to Indianapolis Motor Speedway this week for the last sprint race of the 2023 IMSA Weathertech SportsCar Championship season, the Tirerack.com Battle On The Bricks. The team eagerly welcomes new addition Alexander Koreiba to their driver lineup, joined by co-driver and returning Performance Tech Motorsports alumnus Connor Bloum. The duo will be fielding the #38 Ligier JSP320s around the famed Brickyard.

Twenty-five-year-old American racing driver Alexander Koreiba is a fresh, rising motorsport talent who will be stepping up to the plate following a very successful 2022 season in the IMSA VP Racing SportsCar Challenge. He finished second overall in the championship, with 1 win and 4 podiums.

"I am absolutely thrilled to be making my debut in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship with Performance Tech Motorsports,” said Alexander Koreiba. “Collaborating with Brent O'Neill has been extraordinary; his leadership in managing a top-tier racing program is truly commendable. This marks just the beginning of an exciting journey for me and my longtime partner, Parent Projects, in the IWSC. I can confidently say that you can anticipate witnessing more remarkable moments from us on this grand stage of sports car racing. The fact that my debut in this series starts at the iconic Indianapolis Motor Speedway is surreal. Indy is sacred ground and undoubtedly the most illustrious racing circuit on the planet."

Connor Bloum will be returning to compete with Performance Tech Motorsports for the third time this season, after previously competing with the team in the Rolex 24 at Daytona and the Six Hours of The Glen. His expertise, skillset, and race winning caliber make him a phenomenal asset, and the team is confident that this pairing will provide them with a competitive edge as they set their sights on securing another top result.

“I’m thrilled to get the opportunity to be back in the Performance Tech Motorsports LMP3,” exclaimed Connor Bloum. “I’m greatly looking forward to working with Alex Koreiba, and especially excited to race in the main show at such a spectacular venue. I’d like to extend a massive thank you to the entire Performance Tech Motorsports team. I'm ready to get to work!”

The event will take place from September 15th to 17th, with practice sessions running on Friday and Saturday, followed by the qualifying session on Saturday afternoon. The Tirerack.com Battle On The Bricks is set to commence on Sunday, September 17th at 1:10 PM ET at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
