PERFORMANCE TECH MOTORSPORTS FINISHES THIRD IN THE ROLEX 24!

Performance Tech Motorsports finished in third place after 24 hours of racing at the famed Daytona International Speedway. John DeAngelis, Christopher Allen, Connor Bloum and Cameron Shields commanded the #38 Ligier JSP320s perfectly. Despite facing significant challenges in the final portion of the race, the team persevered and secured a podium finish.

Cameron Shields was first to jump in the driver’s seat, expertly navigating the tightly packed field and avoiding drama on track with other competitors. He maneuvered across the circuit with grace, keeping the car in top shape and making his way up the field into second place.

The race quickly shaped up to be action-packed at all levels. As the competition began to heat up, the team and drivers worked quickly to adapt to the ever-changing demands. John DeAngelis, who participated in his first Rolex 24 this year, made his way through the pack, trying to stay out of trouble in order to bring home a perfect car for his teammates.

Bloum took charge of the late shift, powering through the night into the early hours of the morning. His stamina and fortitude proved to be essential in the push to gain positions. Also a Rolex 24 rookie, Christopher Allen jumped in the car for multiple stints, with his VLN experience coming in handy to sail through the traffic.

Shields had the difficult task of closing out the grueling 24-hour race, but his experience and rapid pace made him the perfect driver for the job. However, the team was plagued with clutch and brake issues in the final hours of the race. Despite the set-backs, they persevered and crossed the line in third place.

“It was such a blessing to have participated in the Rolex 24 this year, and to finish on the podium was beyond my wildest dreams,” said John DeAngelis after the race. “The Performance Tech team did such an incredible job keeping us on track. We couldn’t be more pleased with the P3 finish.”

Connor Bloum echoed his teammate’s feelings; “the Performance Tech guys were top notch, they absolutely nailed it on every single pit stop. This was one of the craziest experiences of my life. I’m just really happy we were able to bring the car home in one piece and step on to the podium.”

“It was a really wild race,” added Cameron Shields. “We just kept pushing lap after lap and we were eventually able to maintain P3. I’m just so happy we were able to accomplish this as a team. We’ve worked really hard to get the car running and it was a fantastic result in the end.”

Christopher Allen summarized the team’s overall sentiments by saying “I couldn’t be happier to be here. We were on the podium at the Rolex 24 at Daytona, it truly doesn’t get much better than this.”
