As the IMSA VP Racing SportsCar Challenge championship gears up for its second round at the prestigious Grand Prix of St. Petersburg in Florida. Racing in support of the NTT INDYCAR SERIES, Performance Tech Motorsports is preparing for another thrilling race weekend with a dual-car entry, with full-season driver Alex Kirby returning with the #7 L.A. With a solid start to the season, including a podium finish in the opening round, the team is poised to put on another strong performance on track.

PerformanceTech Motorsports is eager to build upon their success and has been meticulously preparing to tackle the challenges of the St. Petersburg street circuit, known for its tight turns and unforgiving nature. Alex Kirby has already added a second-place finish to the team’s tally this year thanks to a stellar performance in Race 1 at Daytona, and will be vying for the top spot on the podium this time around. Meanwhile, the crew is looking forward to welcoming back Jonathan Woolridge, another highly skilled competitor with an impressive racing resume.

“I am super pumped for the second round of the IMSA VP Racing SportsCar Challenge,” exclaimed Alex Kirby. “I can’t wait to get back behind the wheel of the #7 L.A. Prep machine, and I’m really looking forward to building on our momentum. I’ve always loved street courses, and running alongside the NTT INDYCAR Series in the streets of St. Petersburg should make it that much more exciting!”

“I am incredibly thankful to have this opportunity with Performance Tech Motorsports,” said Jonathan Woolridge. “It will be great to get back into the #38 car after a longer than anticipated off-season. The Grand Prix of St. Petersburg is an extremely tight and technical street circuit and I am up for the challenges that lie ahead for this track. We have had great success in the past with the team and everyone has been working hard to boost our success this year. I’m excited to bring BL Innovare and returning R-Line Utility on board with us for the season. All the right pieces are there, now it’s up to me to perform on track!”
