Performance Tech Motorsports Joins Forces with Memo Corse for TA2 Championship at VIR

Performance Tech Motorsports is pleased to announce they will be supporting the Memo Corse team for the upcoming round of the CUBE 3 Architecture TA2® Series presented by Pirelli championship at VIRginia International Raceway. Taking place from September 18th to 21st, the team will be involved with the program for the #12 Ford Mustang, driven by Diego Ciantini.

The CUBE 3 Architecture TA2® Series has emerged as a leading stage for competitive road racing, drawing elite teams and drivers while delivering thrilling events. Renowned for its fierce competition, the series has also become a favored proving ground for rising stars in motorsport, and Performance Tech Motorsports is greatly looking forward to returning to the competition.

They will be joining forces with Memo Corse, an Argentine motorsport team created by brothers Marcelo and Alejandro Occhionero, in order to assist them in their program. The group made their debut in 2020, competing in Turismo Carretera, a popular stock car racing championship in Argentina, in addition to being the oldest active auto racing series in the world. The team went on to win the 2020 and 2023 championships, and now sets their sights on American stock car racing.

They will be represented on track by Diego Ciantin, a talented driver from Argentina, whose background includes touring car racing in South America and open-wheel competition in Europe, and more recently he was also competing in the Turismo Carretera series.

“We’re excited to be partnering with Memo Corse for their TA2 program at VIR,” added Brent O'Neill, Team Owner and Team Principal of Performance Tech Motorsports. “The series is incredibly competitive and provides a great platform for both teams and drivers to prove themselves. Our goal is to support Diego and the Memo Corse group with the knowledge and resources we’ve built over years in American motorsport, including in TA2 itself, and we’re looking forward to seeing what we can achieve together this weekend.”

The upcoming round at VIRginia International Raceway promises to be an exciting event, which will kick off with two test sessions that will take place on Thursday, September 18th. The official practice session will be held early Friday afternoon, with Qualifying to follow later in the day. The TA2® race is scheduled for Saturday, September 20th, at 12:35 PM ET.
